VII. SENIORITY

A. Seniority is defined as the length of actual employment as a teacher or administrator within the school district. Part-time service will be prorated. A break in service of more than one (1) year shall void prior seniority except if the break in service is the result of a layoff. The Committee need consider seniority in employment decisions only when specifically mandated by this Agreement.
