D. Vocational Education
The Southbridge School Committee will provide students with access to the Area Vocational School(s) at a tuitional cost to the local community. Therefore, students shall also be required to make the following commitment to attendance at the Area Vocational School(s):
1. Students accepted at the Area Vocational School must attend said school for a 30-day commitment.
2. After the 30-day trial period, the student shall make a choice of remaining at the Area Vocational School for the entire year or returning to Southbridge High School.
3. If the student terminates attendance at the Area Vocational School after the 30 day trial period, he or she cannot enter Southbridge High School until the following September at the same grade level as he or she was in at the time he or she dropped from the vocational education program.
Therefore, once the final committal is made the student must remain at the Area Vocational School or wait until September of the next academic year to re-enter Southbridge High School.
