PREAMBLE

Woonsocket School District

The School Committee of the City of Woonsocket, Rhode Island, hereinafter called "the Committee" and the Woonsocket  Teachers' Guild, Local #951, American Federation  of Teachers, AFL-CIO, hereinafter called "the Guild" or "Union," and

WHEREAS

both parties above named  believe in the importance of public schools as an agency for the preservation and extension  of our democracy;  and

the parties to this Agreement  have a common goal- that of providing the best possible public education  for all children;  and therefore agree effective this first day of July, 2024 , to implement  the terms of this Agreement to the best of their abilities.

THEREFORE the parties agree as follows:
